Some vanities look good in the showroom and hold up for two years. The Mira 30" is built differently.
Solid wood in a deep walnut finish , moisture-resistant, water-resistant, built for the sustained humidity of a bathroom used every day. A quartz countertop with a 4" matching backsplash. DTC soft-close hardware, one of the world's leading cabinet hardware manufacturers. Dovetail-jointed drawers , the construction detail that separates fine furniture from assembled cabinetry.
At 30", the Mira is the vanity for a single-sink ensuite, main bathroom, or condo powder room that needs to look like the rest of the renovation was taken this seriously.
Solid Walnut — The Finish That Earns the Room
The Mira's walnut finish on solid wood is a different material statement than painted or laminated vanities. Walnut is a deep, warm, naturally complex wood tone , not a single flat colour, but a finish that reads differently in morning light, in evening light, and in the kind of warm, layered bathroom lighting that makes the difference between a bathroom that works and one that actually feels good to be in.
100% solid wood construction, treated and finished to resist the moisture and humidity of daily bathroom use in Canada. From Vancouver's wet winters to Ontario's humid summers, the Mira is engineered for the conditions , not just for the showroom.
Unlike flat-pack vanities built on MDF or particleboard cores, solid wood maintains its structural integrity over time in a humid bathroom environment. The doors stay square. The drawers slide cleanly. The finish holds.
DTC Hardware — The Detail That Shows in Daily Use
The Mira's DTC soft-close hardware is worth naming. DTC (Dongtai Hardware) is one of the world's leading specialist cabinet hardware manufacturers , their soft-close mechanisms are used in high-end cabinetry across Europe, North America, and Asia precisely because the mechanism tolerates thousands of open-close cycles without degrading.
In a bathroom vanity used twice a day by one or two people, soft-close hardware that holds its quality for a decade is the difference between a vanity that still feels right in year seven and one that feels loose and cheap. The Mira's DTC hardware is the commitment to year seven.
Whisper-quiet closing. No slamming. No vibration. No wear on the door face or frame.
Dovetail Drawers — The Hallmark of Fine Furniture
The Mira's dovetail-jointed drawers are the construction detail that distinguishes furniture from cabinetry. A dovetail joint , the interlocking fan-shaped cuts that connect drawer sides to front and back ,is one of the strongest mechanical wood joints in furniture making. It resists pulling apart under the load of drawer contents, and it tightens over time as the wood settles.
In most bathroom vanities at this price point, drawers are assembled with staples, pocket screws, or dowels , joints that loosen over years of use. The Mira's dovetail drawers are assembled the way fine furniture drawers have been assembled for centuries. They will outlast the bathroom.
Two dovetail drawers provide organised storage for daily essentials , cosmetics, skincare, hair tools, spare toiletries , without the bulk of a full-height cabinet.
Quartz Countertop — The Non-Negotiable Surface
The Mira's quartz countertop sets the standard for bathroom counter material:
-
Non-porous — quartz does not absorb water, toothpaste, cosmetics, or bacteria. It does not require sealing, ever.
-
Scratch-resistant — quartz is harder than most bathroom surface materials. Daily use does not mar the surface.
-
Stain-resistant — cosmetics, lotions, and cleaning products do not penetrate the surface.
-
3/4" thickness — the countertop has visual weight and presence. It reads as quality from across the bathroom.
-
4" quartz backsplash — the same quartz material continues up behind the sink, protecting the wall and creating a seamless joint that is easier to clean and more water-resistant than a caulked tile-to-counter junction.
-
Pre-drilled single hole faucet opening — ready for standard single-hole faucet installation. No drilling required.
How to Style the Mira 30"
Walnut + Matte Black: The most popular contemporary pairing for a walnut bathroom vanity. Matte black single-hole faucet, matte black towel ring. The deep wood tone and the dark matte hardware work as a family without competing.
Walnut + Brushed Gold: Warmer and more elevated. Brushed gold faucet and accessories with walnut creates a bathroom that reads as considered and luxurious rather than simply modern.
Walnut + Brushed Nickel: The safest and most versatile choice. Works with virtually all tile colours and bathroom lighting conditions.
Mirror: A round mirror above a 30" walnut vanity is one of the most consistently strong bathroom combinations in contemporary Canadian interior design , the organic circle against the horizontal line of the vanity, the warm wood beneath.
Tile: The Mira's walnut finish works best against lighter tiles , white, cream, warm grey, soft beige , that let the wood tone do the visual work. Dark tiles against a walnut vanity can work but require careful lighting to read well.
